The CoFCCA project was carried out in Cameroon, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the general objective of developing policy-oriented adaptation strategies that ensure the sustainable and equitable use of forest resources. The main methodology used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which enabled interactive planning with all stakeholders, adaptive management and learning by doing, and the consolidation of different types of knowledge – local, scientific and political. The project was funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID). CoFCCA worked with partners at the local (NGOs), national (governmental organizations, universities) and regional level (COMIFAC, CARPE etc.).
