    Dr. Mario Falcao is a professor at the faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Engineering of Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM, Mozambique). He studied forestry and obtained his PhD in forestry management and economics from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. His role in this project includes, under the partnership between CIFOR and UEM, he will work on dissemination of China-Africa project scoping study in Zambia and, in collaboration with Dr. Sheila Wertz-Kanoinnikoff, he will conduct analysis of political governance of timber license scheme in Mozambique. In addition, he has supervised a master’s student, who carried out timber value chain analysis and socio economic impact assessments of impact of China’s trade and investment on forest to local livelihoods in Mozambique.
