The first focus group discussion was held 1 December 2007 with farmer participants to discuss the management practices observed during the exchange visit as well as to deliver and discuss the results of the household survey. The discussion covered all project aspects, including silviculture, microfinance, marketing and policy aspects of teak farm practices. Thirty smallholders attended the exchange visit whereas 62 smallholders attended the FGD. Thirteen project staff members also attended the activities.

Second FGD was held on 09 February 2009 organised by Intercafe_IPB to finalize the plan for establishment of microfinance institution.  We searched for the appropriate financial mechanism scheme that can be implemented to smallholder growing teak as well as defining the vision and mission of institution.
